Aluminium Disc-Wheelset Carbon-Ti X-Hub SL 6-L

Even though carbon rims now dominate the market, there are still good reasons for rock-solid aluminum wheels.

Aluminum wheels are very robust and not very susceptible. Should damage occur, it is immediately apparent and can be assessed for its impact.

Aluminum impellers cost only about half of similarly specified carbon versions. VONHAND built wheels have a lifetime warranty against spoke breakage.

We prefer to build our aluminum wheels with rims from Duke, with the model World Runner 25. The rims are light (465g), very stiff and so wide (inner dimension 22mm) and durable that they are also perfect for use on gravel bikes.

For the hubs, the proven models Aivee Classic and Carbon-Ti x-hub SL and SP are available, with which we also build our top carbon wheelsets.

We build all VONHAND wheels with Sapim spokes (CX Ray) and nipples. A set of spokes including nipples weighs about 230g.

All rims used can be driven tubeless as well as with tube. The prices quoted do not include: brake discs, thru axle, cassette, tire, tube.

Before we build the wheel for you, we consult to match spoke patterns etc. to your requirement profile and the frameset into which the wheelset will be installed. Each VONHAND wheel is therefore a custom-made and excluded from the right of withdrawal under the Distance Selling Act (FAGG). In this sense, the images are only symbolic photos.
