With the new technology, however, Vittoria creates a seamless transition between sidewall and tread, thus ensuring a unique suppleness, unimagined speed, but also better puncture resistance. A protective belt under the tread also contributes to this, as does a reinforcement at the edge of the tyre, which better withstands the high pressure at this point during tubless mounting.
